cobra french beans planted out too soon?

    Yep! but you learned that now, so it's onwards and upwards. Some people would just give up, not understanding what went wrong

    The wind is even more drying than hot sun: the leaves lose moisture must faster than the roots can take it up, hence they dry out (dessicate) and turn papery and dead.

    Cut off the damaged ones, and more should come when it's warm enough

    If you treat them like runner beans, perhaps.

      Cobra gives huge yields 8 plants will give you bags full if the plants do well. You might consider cutting your failed plants down to just above a set of leaves. New shoots should emerge.
