    Yes, I think that would be the wisest course of action.

    It'll be May in a few days. Growing now from seed... Being so far north makes the growing season shorter. If you get a mild autumn you might get away with it, but as I said some ready-to-go plants (preferably grafted) is the most sensible option if you want to be harvesting come late summer/early autumn.
