Asparagus - Is it worth it?

I'm interested in your beds - how did you do them? Those metal edges look interesting.

By the way Asparagus is the most wonderful veg, only a few of us grow this at the lottie and we all get visits from our jealous neighbours to view the crop when they are ready!

Kirstie! First n formost, we have all to start somewhere, sucking in info! I did for years before I ever dared post anything on a forum!

AIC (All In Containers) Ebreiviation I shall use from now on, cause that is one long word to type!

The way you grow, n limited space you have, maybe worth having a bash at what "Penellype" suggested with grow bags! Although you are not gunna get a huge crop, "Something is Better than Nothing!) But again! it all boils down to preferences!

I did a little research before setting the "Asparagus" bed up n selected 3 types! "Pacific" Crops early April to mid June, "Ariane" Crops late April to Late june n "Millenium" Crops mid May to end of june! giving me a two week window either end of the short harvesting season!

Now I'm "Drooning"

Then capped off with thin gaged angle iron, again rescues from skips! With pemission of course!
