Scotland Yellow are a tall (cordon) variety like Sungold so will need to be staked and have side shoots pinched out. Best crops were in a poly-tunnel but they did ok outside here too. I may even have a few Amish Paste seeds to pop in
Poly what do you grow ? is it out the ordinary stuff ?

Usually as many tomatoes as I can I guess quite a few aren't mainsteam varieties.
I love sweet cherries, Sungold being one of my faves. I also love striped tomatoes, they just look so beautiful. Green when ripe types usually have great flavour, blacks again look so good and generally flavour is smashing. I really enjoy growing miniature types too, lots of fun with those, though flavour is not always the best. I guess all sorts really, I think Ive a bit of a tomato fetish
Lol @ tomato fetish ive heard of some in my time but never a tomato one lol
Well they arrived today thank you ever so much and the extras
Dissaponted no return of address very sneaky lol
But will treat them with love and kindness hopefully the rewards will be fantastic
May pick your brains sometime of your seed recovery methods but until then ahain thank you
Only just seen this thread - but glad to see you appear to have tracked some down already. I had a few Scotland Yellow seeds left from last year and was planning on saving some myself this year as I germinated the last of mine in Feb.
They are lovely tomatoes.
While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

the Scotland yellow sound interesting, I have some Chinese blue I got on the net and they are growing well(only 6 seeds in packet but I didn't pay much),just waiting to see if we get any summer this year as last year it was mid june to third week of august , that's when the frosty nights started, it was colder in sept than January.....so fingers crossed...
SY are really nice toms - have had a great crop from them each time I've grown them and until late in the season (very late last year). I first grew them around 2008 - got the seeds from HSL. The ones I've sown this year were from the HSL batch. Though, I must check if I saved any seed last year! I've got > 20 varieties on the grow this year (eek).
Sadly Roma VF is unlikely to be one of them as they look very sad right now.
