    • A wet and rainy update (snow on the mountains today, brrrrr).

First week in January and today, both from the west.

January and July from the east.

At last these leylandii have been cut down. They have shaded the garden until midday for years.

You will notice a fence which was installed last month. A local firm did it as a charity gesture for free.

        • Looks great Danny, the tree removal certainly lets more light in. Nice gesture by your local firm.

          • So this was my garden in Janurary

And here is my garden now

The Potatoes were taking up the majority of the SFG but have now been harvested. Not putting anything in their place as I am moving all edibles to the allotment that looked like this in March when I first got it

And is now looking like this

Slowly getting there. I've ordered some plug plants of winter veg so hoping to be growing something useful on there soon

                  • Think the photos are a little deceiving, the cleared area is a little under half. Getting more cardboard from work every week to cover the back half I figure I'll concentrate on the front half this year then start uncovering and digging the rest once that's done

                            July
Have added a bed of tomatoes, squashes and pansies alongside the GH and a Coldframe to the back of it.
The tall white pole in front of the shed is part of my new clothes line - so much cheaper than a new rotary drier

July - Pallet planter - now has incredibly cheap begonias in it.
