Are my onions ok?

Hi. Im wondering if my onions are ok? They have lots of holes like these in the pic below. Any help apreciated

That's not good. Probably have little bugs in amongst the layers. Allium leaf miner. Yuk.

does not look too good, mine have few, if any holes, not sure what the problem with yours is but they do not look too healthy.
The bulbs on mine seem to have started growing bigger at last.

Yes I was beginning to think mine were 'failures' no bigger than the sets I put in, but they are definitely beginning to put some weight on so to speak, they look pretty good and oniony although I think a bit too much of them is under ground.

I am really looking forward to tasting one, not sure how long I will have to wait for that.
