I bought some from fleebay in January or February and stuck them in pots of mpc too, but they still havent even come up! I thought they must have died, so i unearthed a couple last week to see, and they have tiny side roots and a ring of little nodules barely visible on the top of the root, so i guess they're just being really slow... wish they'd hurry up. Maybe i'll stick them in the cold frame.He-Pep!

At least they are alive, the little nodules will be the beginnings of some shoots forming.

I used 2 litre milk cartons last year. Shred the leaves and stuff into the cartons, top up with water leaving a gap at the top and put the cap on. Label and leave for about 4-6 weeks. This year I have some 4 litre cartons I'll be using. The idea came from Two Sheds and is brilliant.Originally posted by queen of the cobs View PostI was thinking I might make some tea in a sealed container, to avoid the smell. Anyone got any suggestions?Granny on the Game in Sheffield

You;re up north, and comfrey is herbaceous. It dies down in cold weather. So, you should get it coming up by about AugustOriginally posted by bario1 View Postthey still havent even come up!

The variation is amazing within the comfrey I have got here. Some in the garden has only just showed its leaves, the stuff on the allotment is about a foot high! The garden is more sheltered!Originally posted by rustylady View PostI'm about 10 miles south of you, and mine is going ballistic
