    8 weeks is no where near long enough for any kind of spud. Even first earlies are taking 12 weeks this year. Main crop usually need 22 weeks or there abouts.

    As to your compost providing there has been no disease or other unfortunate happenings you can use it for pretty much anything. All you do is mix in a NPK neutral fertiliser such as Blood fish and bone or Growmore.

      i thought as the plants was big and flowering they were nealy ready, im learning all the time so thanks for all the info,
