Sure, good point. But I was only listing the price as one of a number of differences between the two. I suppose it's personal for people. For me I literally dont have the time to pick and eat on the plot It's dash dash dash. My plot is small and for the effort and space available mt were clear winners for me. Oh and I had just spent over 2 hours till 1 am podding peas the night before I sent the post and ended up with so much material in the pods to go back to the composter, so maybe that had something to do with it

i agree with you in this.. infact i pick a bowl full of mange tout but only 4 peas pod... i have a small patio garden at home and i only grow them in pots so one pot for only 4 pod is not a good deal but honestly i start to grow my own veg because i love tasty food ( that's why i'm a chef) and even if you buy good quality product in the restaurant and home they don't taste as fresh as yours and i don't believe that you can make a nice dish with flavorless food...not even god.
my point is that i grow for the taste e not for value...i don't get much from my garden but is nice that few time i have a nice dish that you can't buy anywhere...
