  • Do fans make indoor plants stronger and sturdier?

I remember hearing about this a while back but I think it was pretty much under the theory of an old wives tale or a myth.

The theory goes that using a desk fan on a low setting for an hour or so a day on seedlings makes them toughen up due to the simulation of a breeze it produces.

anyone tried this and noticed a difference?

It does strengthen the stems, but a cheaper and easier solution is simply to brush your hand gently over your seedlings

If you keep them on the floor by the door the dog's tail does that for you.
