Lunar Planting - what have you grown today?

ok......todays sowings are
toms- whippersnapper, green sausage, principe borghese and andean toms.
Peppers - Amarillo , purple beauty and scotch bonnets .
Aubs - Enorma and Orlando
all now in the airing cupboard ......

I'll just follow the pretty pictures

It depends where in northern hemisphere you are ....

If you are past the tropic of cancer ( 23degrees north ) then the constellation the moon is passing through will affect you the most followed by the ascending and descending moons and then lastly the tide - the closer to the equator you are the less effect the ascending or descending moon has and the more the tides have.

London is about 51 degrees north which is why the sign plays the most important part.

I would get the book as it explains the principles and it's pretty easy to follow..... there is a explanatiom of how you convert the charts for different parts of the world.

Anyway my root day planted onions are romping away.... tonight it's aubergines and chillis as it's a fruit day.

Have just sown a load of tomatoes, and a few peppers. About to sow some aubergines once I find the bottom of my module thingymabob.

Ah, that's what I thought but a lot of the posts on here seemed to indicate that it was the same everywhere which I couldn't get my head around

However there is now the problem of which book, there are several on Amazon and it's not clear which geographical area they cover.

Aubergines grow like weeds in Turkey and Greece. They need heat. Do you grow them in a greenhouse Chris?

Alison i have the one called in tune with the moon 2012. About 6quid. I think the guy who did all the research was german so i think most of the books are european. Problem is that you have to buy the book every year toget the charts....... You could pick up an old one for peanuts just for the explanation and then follow the charts on here.
