Have put it up for you Bins (and others), if you want to follow Synodic you will need to sow after full moon, 9th January I think from recall. Just to confuse Sidereal for onion today too.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

Hi SD and welcome. I chose biodynamic last year as it gave me the option of sowing differing veg types every few day and wasn't as restrictive schedule wise as Synodic. I have never followed Sidereal. Do a bit of reading and decide which fits your sowing/growing schedule best. Good luck!Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

Are you after getting some sown on a fruit day? Plenty more fruit days and synodic fruit on from 31st on. Panic not
You nearly received a bag of apples today, but you had sped away...

Presumably these and the toms are on a heat pad/prop'. How are you going to keep them growing on? What sort of temperatures are you working at? I'm really curious (not challenging you!). I haven't had temperatures below 2C outside yet, the tunnel is a lot warmer and I'm fleecing overnight as well but growth seems very slow so I'd wonder about chillies etc. You're probably just going to say have a go aren't you!?Originally posted by VirginVegGrower View PostDaughter has sown my peppers....

The lettuce leaves are in a container on my dining table. No heating in there although it is open from the living room, which has an open fire. The tomatoes and peppers are in modules with prop lids. No heating pads needed and no electric prop either. They are on the windowsill in my living room. As I am the lady of the house I can make the rules when it comes to mess and Mr VVG does not have OCD so he does not mind my greenhouse overflow. Once the toms and peppers are through and a little bigger, they will be potted on and live in those pots in the dining room until I am able to get them into the greenhouse, which we do have a frost heater for. Last year I planted my tomatoes in end March, fleeced them and then we had the wonderful April. I suffered no damage.Last edited by VirginVegGrower; 27-12-2011, 05:04 PM.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein
