some of them look to have a broad leaf, ordinary garlic has thin leafes like the onions, and the bulbs themselfes are different, while they both have a 3 sided appearance, elephant garlic is much bigger, anyhow, good look with your growing, what ever you got,it's all edible and tasty,Originally posted by hollychap View Postnot sure of variety i planted two different types from the local asian shop, just hoping for the best

just remembered, when i first saw my EG growing,i thought how alike it looked to tulip leaves, only EG grows a whole lot taller,Last edited by lottie dolly; 10-12-2011, 11:15 AM.sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

hollychap,my Elephant garlic are only about 75mm tall,my Marco garlic are 250mm tall,Wilkinsons garlic 150mm tall but my Solent Wight are only just breaking the surface.
All varieties were planted the same day so it seem some varieties are faster developing than others
