Oh, and when would be the latest these could be sown? I was thinking of putting some in now, and maybe another sowing at the end of August if I could get away with it. Some sites say they take 10 weeks to grow until harvest, others say they take 6 weeks? Or does this depend muchly on the size you want? Do they have to be harvested before the first frost? TIA

Bought some Kohl rabi seeds yesterday (purple variety) from local Wilkinsons store, 40 odd pence a packet. All Johnstones seeds have been reduced by 75%. Planting into modules tonight and hopefully get a crop before the frosts.
Quite fancy trying them mashed to compare with mashed swede which is one of my favourite veg.

On another note, packs of five seed trays or modules were also reduced to 30p. Would it be worth a sticky 'Hot Veg Deals' so people can post any good offers they come across.
