      not realy had any probs with slow growth all is growing well but the chillies and courgettes in the green house are shooting up at an amazing rate ..also cucumber in the greenhouse i was amazed tonight,,i got back from work and had not checked since yestaday morning as rain was very heavy (witch we realy needed as had not had a good rain since mid march ) and the cucumbers are now about 6inchs long and almost 2cm wide ..they have atleast doubled in size in 36 hours ???is that normal??can i expect that next year??or is this just a freak ocurance this one plant has about 40 cucumbers and is still growing and producing more

        Slow growth seems to be the name of the game. Peppers, aubs and chillis, all outdoors, seem to have stunted. Out of threecourgette plants one is huge, two of them still look like plugs.

        Can't see what I have done wrong, might as well just blame the weather.

          For me, it's french beans (peas are starting to move on now finally, esp now the sparrows have stopped eating the shoots! ), cucumbers, melons and courgettes that are really lagging. Tomatoes are slow, but at least show some growth at the moment. It's the weather here too I think - the temperatures at night are just a few degrees too low for the plants to like I think.
