Snow in May :(

we reached around 20 degress around easter but now there is a sudden change in weather and today morning it was snowing , though not that much but I m afraid it would have get some of my tender plants and flowers...

Trust us all to all think that simply because there was a little bit of sun in April that it would stay that way. I can remember some years back in July it hailed so much it laid like snow for a couple of hours.

An even worse thought, - maybe that was our summer!

32 years ago my son was born on 1st May, Maggie Thatcher became first Lady Prime Minister and we had SNOW all the way down here in sunny South Devon.

I remember that Jackie...it was my 16th Birthday year. We all celebrated with a snow fight in the back garden.

We only had a sprinkling, I woke up in hospital and the nurses came in and said what a lovely day it was and how lovely the snow looked, I thought they had gone mad cos from my bed all I could see was bright blue skies. They said they had been having snow ball fights. I couldnt believe it.

1st June 1976 we had about 2 inch of overnight snow... it was the last of the winter where it snowed some time of each month from October (1975) right through until the following June. We then went on to have the best summer for years.

I remember snowing in June once about 13 years ago. Metchecks temp has risne from -3 to 0. Still bit nervous though. Plums, goosegogs, strawb flowers and cherries also said they were a bit nervous. *crosses fingers and hopes for best*

I remember that one. We were living in Harrogate and driving down to Lowestoft in the snow.

luckily this morning i didnt put my squashes and cukes out for hardening. God definitely helped me there because I decided against them out in the morning
