Why are my spring cabbages turning purple?

    The only time I've had cabbage leaves go purple like this, is when they have been in pots. So something to do with that. Water problem, or more probable a lack of nutrients.

    Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

      The leaves on my cabbages went purple and the plants were stunted and decidedly unhappy. I fed with a home made fertiliser with plenty of epsom salts and they are very healthy now

      My kale and PSB in a different bed are now the same so will be fed tomorrow.
      The proof of the growing is in the eating.
      Leave Rotten Fruit.
      Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potasium - potash.
      Autant de têtes, autant d'avis!!!!!
