Aren't pea shoots pretty good for the soil if left in? Or am I getting confused with the bottom of the full grown plants?

I was going to throw out some old inherited pea seeds, then I read this, so I figure its worth a try, which part do you actually eat?

I'm running out of room in the conservatory, so they will have to be left outside, hope they will be ok

I've grown them for the last few years and there yummy. I think after Alys Fowler grew them on her program they got rather popular. I bought some cheep pea seeds and they grew like mad. Thanks for the reminder Zaz, I'll sow some this evening.

As per the Alys Fowler suggestion, I have a packet of Leo's finest (29p for the packet!!!) ready to sow. Out of interest would anyone have an idea of what variety of pea they are?

No idea what the variety is but its the brand we usually use to make mushy peas so I'd already got them in the cupboard.

Youngest granddaughter has sown two more trays today, she loves them and is fascinated by the "tablet" in the packet!

                      Bummocks - I thought I had posted...

Do Pea Shoots taste anything like Peas?

I love peas soooooo much, I'd be unlikely to eat the shoots and miss out on the Pods!

They're kind of more-ish so I doubt they'd ever get chance to grow enough to produce pods
