    Yes to the first probably not to the last

    Nigella is the Genus name and Sativa is the Specius name, you could also have Nigella Damascena or more commonly Love in a mist.

      Thanks Geordie. Nigella flowers are Love In The Mist and the seed pods are Devils In A Bush. I had a look at that site and surprisingly both Nigella seeds can be used as condiments. Although I think I should stick to saving the seeds from the herb plant.

      Nicos they found Black Cumin seeds in King Tuts tomb.

        Some of the seeds found in the Pyramids are still viable. I remember reading how they got about 10% to germinate. All I can say is they were not parsnips
