Has anyone grown shallots from seed , have planted in pots inside and have already got about 6cm green shoots but they seem to have been stuck at this stage for a bit now.Do I keep them quite dry and repot later in the month when they are bigger?

I grew a variety called ambition. Nice big single bulbs from seed. No subdivision into many bulbs.

I'm sure some of you more seasoned gardeners will have a little smile at me for this, but I have two green shoots poking out

I go and look at my newly planted veg every morning too , know it's a bit sad but my I have a new raised bed outside my kitchen window, new topsoil dug in yesterday and I can't wait to fill it! Think non veg-growing people roll their eyes, but they are more than happy when you give them the odd shaped cucumber or handful of beans!!
