What do you mean? Are you looking for 'sets' for giant onions? As far as I'm aware, they don't exist. The link that Zaz posted for Robinson's, you can order onion plants from them, or you can buy seeds from them, but not 'sets'.

Yep, he's not cheap, but if the plants turn out half as good as his own it would be worth it (not that I've ever come close )

You can buy a sack of onions for about �1.50 round here.

If you are growing to show then maybe it is worth it but if not.....

nomis - they probably would keep but the germination does reduce in year 2 and beyond with alliums......

No, she's questioning whether �5.50 for 80 seeds represents good value, when they are so cheap to buy already grown. If you read Zaz's posts, you'll see that she's very fond of growing onions all year round

Have you grown Kelsaes before.... they'll get to 5lbs if grown in a polytunel by all account, I've never had a problem getting them to about half that outdoors with no really special treatment, just grow them like a normal onion and they turn out 4x the size..... And they're a good eater, especially for onion soup....

No, as Sarz says - �5.50 for 80 seeds is only going to be worth it if you are growing for showing.

I grow hundreds if not thousands of onions but I wouldn't ever pay �5.50 for 80 seeds......may as well buy a sack of onions at that price...
