Re-Potting

I cant seem to find a sub topic to post this under, so I will leave it to the good graces of the Mods. I hope you dont mind.

I Have a large rhododendron and a Acer that need potting on to larger pots. When is the best time of year to do this?

when they need it ..... i just repotted some stuff, a couple of weeks ago .... they aren't dead yet

I always thought that there were certain times in the life cycle to repot trees and large shrubs, I dont know why I thought that

Anyway, I wouldnt say they need it, but they arent growing as quick as they used too, and I had this down to being an a small (ish) pot

mine are already in the largest pots I can move so I tend to top dress in the spring by taking out the top 4 ins or so of soil and replacing with MPC mixed with a good handfull of growmore
