What's going on, I may have jumped the gun but I pulled a parsnip yesterday, it had over 3 foot of folage & a 3" long nip........

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either. -
My parsnip is also 3ft high and falling over, so I pulled one to have a look. Nearly 7" and quite useable. I'm going to have to put some supports round them.History teaches us that history teaches us nothing. - HegelComment

I wouldn't dream of pulling one now - this is so not the weather for parsnips, besides haven't you got enough on with cabbge beans courgettes etc They taste so much better after a cold snap too. We had some in the autumn last year and they were ok but later in the year they were much sweeter. Step away from those 'snips
