Knowing where to go helps

I know where to get plums,apples(cooking & eating),pears,damsons,sloes & Mushrooms.
Why pay if you can get it for nowt.

Yes, I'm the same, every year I collect plums. damsons, raspberries, apples, and mushrooms. (Am careful with the mushrooms and only pick the ones I'm really sure of!). Elderberries, wild garlic - the list goes on and on. And as a Rambler, I know most of the local spots for collecting food for free

Saves me quite a lot of money and can't understand why people will just leave good fruit to rot on the ground. (Hasn't been washed and no fancy packaging I expect)
