Too late to grow a Atlantic giant pumpkin?

After hearing lots about them I would like to grow one and hopefully get a good sized one to eat. Is it too late to grow them?

No, it's not too late. Chances are if you had put one out already, it'd have died from frost anyway.

Sow your seed as soon as possible in pots indoors and prepare the site (big hole, lots of compost, lots of fertiliser).

Ok thanks very much for that, is there some sort of fertiliser I can put direct into the soil (solid) and mix it up with the compost? and can anyone recommend one?
