    Used to grow mine in a big tub and also in growbags set up on their long side so the roots had more depth. Had reasonable crops too, not as good as in the ground but pretty good if you keep them well fed and watered.

      I just planted three in the earth beds in the green house. Terrible idea probably, but I couldn't put them OUTSIDE and their little roots were poking out of the bottom and looking at me.

        Mine are all out in the garden now.
        My tip is to cover the beans with a long sheet of bubble wrap at night and secure the bubble wrap onto the canes with clothes pegs. Works perfectly and only takes a couple of sec's to clip the wrap on and off them . I leave the pegs on the canes so i can quickly cover and uncover the beans in the morning, but it's fine if you leave it on too.
