First time ever I have tried to grow parsnips. What I want to know is how big should they be at this stage.

Mine are about 6" long but they are the few that are still left over from last year and will probably be finished this next weekend - this years sowing are still to show their heads but that's only the same as last year so am not remotely worried and they've only been sown a week so I'd be more shocked if there was any sign of life!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

ours are getting their true leaves now and looking heathy, very excited about it a none germinated last year so this is our 1st year gowing them. Prechitted on kitchen towel then planted in kitchen roll tubes indoors, hardened out once the seed leave were through and planted out in their tubes. They have been out there about 4 weeks now.
                            Regards Katie
