Planted my earlies last Monday.

Planted earlies yesterday and the main crops will go in mid April which is the same I did last year and I'm not that far from you.

I'm with Nicos on this one - Good Friday - Tater planting day. Whatever the weather. This one may just be the exception that proves the rule - we'll see on Friday!

I have 25 first earlies (Dunluce & Epicure) in various containers under glass and a row outside which are under black polythene. Was going to plant another 2 rows this weekend but weather looks a bit iffy. The first lot of indoor ones, planted late Feb are coming along nicely with plenty of healthy foliage. I'm looking forward to new tatties late May

I have several large tubs and buckets in my conservatory, planted up with Rocket, Charlotte and Juliette but as for planting any in the ground, no not done any yet. Probably do them weekend after next as will be busy doing other planting and jobs at the plot over the bank holiday weekend.

Maris Peer went into a bed on the plot a fortnjight ago, Nicola went in to sacks yesterday, King Edwards will be going into a bed on the plot this week sometime if it ever stops raining.

I am lot further South - over in East Anglia. I planted my first couple of rows of 1st Earlies yesterday and intend to put in a few rows of spuds each week.

Anyway, mine went into potato patio bags at the weekend there. I knew the forecast was for snow ( ) this week, so am hoping that keeping the patio bags inside the greenhouse will mean no harm comes to them.

I've saved a few maincrop in case I was being a bit previous - will stick them in perhaps weekend after easter, I guess.

Mine went in last week and since the weather is turning i'm gonna put straw on them tomorrow in an attempt to protect them a bit.

From the sounds of it, would it best to keep them inside at the moment (unheated utility room) i don't have a greenhouse but i do have a coldframe, planning to plant in resuseable bags/rubblesacks at the weekend.
I live in North Yorkshire & all i've seen is rain etc for the last three days.

Mine should be in by now, but still trying to plant all the shallots. I will be planting the accent and accord this weekend though.

NOt in yet, up here I tend to been three or four weeks behind those down south, last year I planted out loads during the Easter holiday but as it Easter this weekend and today the garden is under snow think it might be later this year.
