Is it easy to tell the difference between the two - and, if you get it wrong, are morning glory poisonous?

Ah. Silly me! Thinking of Sweet Peas and REAL Peas. They probably don't have pods either...

Be careful with Morning Glory if you've got cats! We planted some a couple of years back, a couple of chews of a leaf later by our cat she was down the vet with serious problems; seizures, and salivating heavily etc.

Bless her, she was realy ill for about a month and looked really sorry for herself. I felt so guilty.

So since then no MG near our garden. Just look it up on the web, search for poisionous garden plants, you'll find plenty. Marigolds are none to good either but nowhere as poisionous. Since then I'm VERY selective about what I plant and research the stuff before buying it.
