    But have a good look at the compost you have, i'd be very surprised if you had no worms at all. Possibly it hasn't warmed up enough for them, so all you have are cocoons (eggs) or else your compost is so mature they've all moved out to the rest of the garden. In which case they'll move back in as soon as you start composting again.
    Thw problem was, is, Cath that my garden has no soil, as such. It is a container and raised bed garden. All of which is bought compost bags. Over the years I feel it is deplenished and needs a little wildlife.

      Due to where I created my veg beds I had no worms, but when digging the side garden I was literally *shocked* at the vast amount of them. I chuckd a couple in my beds for good measure
