It's just a fad and a way for the seed merchants to make more profit.

Buy cheap seeds and a heated propagator, cannot go wrong and cheaper in the long run.

I tried the carrot ones but I shan't bother again. The germination was far better from freesown seed.

Just a quick one on this, sorry for bringing it back from the dead.

I have read all sorts as far as making ssed tape, even using syrup. But surely if you just soak some loo roll, place the seeds on it and plant it out, this would be good enough for home made seed tape wouldn't it?
