Anyone saved Dorset Naga/Morich chilli seeds?

I was perusing the isles of Tesco the other day when I spotted a pack of 'fresh' Dorset naga chillies. Getting the seeds from the company itself is pretty pricey (�5-10 for about 8 seeds) so for 75p for 3 chillies seemed like a worthwhile expirement.
Have any other chilli fans tried this with these or otherchilli types?

I'm attempting the same as you from the same source.... I'm amazed there hasn't been a Daily Mail "Killer chilli hurt my child!" headline yet.... Naga's are evil things, I could feel my fingers tingling handling them through the packaging.... though that might be psychosomatic.....

Yep saved my Naga Morich and Fatalii seeds for next years crop, though god knows why as i've burnt my insides many a time already this year. Must be a sucker for punishment

Lol! My OH isn't too keen on them after an incident involving some white habaneros, especially when he found out how hot the Nagas are supposed to be. Fingers crossed the seeds are viable!

I'm in receipt of some self-saved seed from one of the grapes - I'm guessing that ANY reduction in power 'may' be a relief!

If not, I'm underway (next year) to instigate punshment regime 'naga' on my son and his friends who 'claim' to be 'well'ard' in the chilli stakes!

Yeah. I saved some Tesco Dorset Naga seeds last year and grew them this. I don't think I started them early enough (well and the summer weather didn't help) because I've only had one small chilli off the plant! However it tasted and looked just like a Naga. I've bought the plant indoors to try and overwinter it so that it gets a head start next year.

I grew some Scotch Bonnets this year from seeds saved from Chillies I bought in Sainsburys and they did quite well.

I grew Naga Morich & Dorset Naga from seeds I bought this year and am self-saving seeds to start early next year.

Please have a camera handy when you do this, Naga do live up to their reputation.

Might want to make sure you have an extra few pints of milk in the fridge that day too

these sound ideal for making bug spray lol,but knowing sods law,the plants will get fried in the proccess,i have some saved seed from asda big pointy peppers to try next year,i will try a few for viability on some tissue first,and the varieties of tomatoe's from the green house,just don't be afraid to try

Does anyone have pictures of their saved seed plants? I'd espcilly like to see how big the Nagas get!

I can put up a photo, but its not worth the effort as my plant didn't get very big! Might be better to google to see how big they get?

From memory, Naga's aren't too huge.....

I remember back when Habanero's were the hottest thing you could get using five to pickle a pound of oniolns and entering them in the pickle comp at xmas in my local.... as well as getting the award for "Least Neccessary Pickle" we were treated to the wonderful sight of the local "thinks he's hard" idiot trying to eat one of the chillis.... whole..... At the time I used to eat Phal and Vindaloo without rice but there was no way I'd have tried to eat that chilli

I just checked a test batch of seeds and one has sprouted!!! Come ON SPRING!!!!
