When looking at buying red onions in Wilkinson's, I wondered if all red onions are the same as shallots?

I grew LRF this eyar and am, quite happy.... I was mostly growing them for small onions (sow seed 5 -6 to a module in February and plant out in march/April.... got some decent onions there and more that I will picklye, they got precious little looking after so I'm happy with them (they taste OK too!) will be trying them again as a straight maincrop (2 per module) as wella s a buncher again....
Grown Red Baron from seed and set before adn always thought they were a bit small....

If anyone would like any Rose de Roscoff let me know. I cant promise, but I will be in the UK in October for a few days, and if I can find any (I dont live too far from Roscoff so shouldnt be too difficult) I will bring them across and then post them once on English soil.Bob Leponge
