I use Harrod Horticultural, insect mesh. Works a treat, but it ain't cheap!!

debris netting keeps 90% of them out ... eBay, about 75p a metre

Voile net curtains are good, but stitch several together if necessary ... about 1 a metre, eBay

I'm thinking of buying some enviromesh, has anyone tried it?

          Delfland Nurseries Limited Enviromesh

it's quite expensive so am a bit reluctant to spend out if it;s no good.

            Hi Hampsterqueen,

I'm using enviromesh - the finest available. As the man sez, it's pricey, but will last years, they say, if you look after it. I bought straight from the manufacturer, somewhere in Scotland, (Kelso?) and they do 2nd. hand.

thanks, I may treat myself. If you consider how much I have to spend to buy broccoli because of the caterpillars multiplied by how many times it happens. It will be worth it!
