      Round here 2 years ago in the summer floods lots of elder shrubs in the hedgerwos drowned. There are still gaps full of dead sticks. Seems sad.
      Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

        Mine are like this, but I had been told before this awful deluge that the containers always needed water because the plants acted like umbrellas when it rained, so the foliage gets a watering, but the container doesn't. Sun's been out here since about 4 this afternoon, so I hope that's a sign the rain has gone away for a while at least!
