  • Flower buckets....what could I sow and overwinter in them?

I am just confused about what I could be sowing in pots right now which will grow and provide produce in winter/spring.

Flower buckets are brilliant value (specially if you can get them for nothing). You could try sowing some fast growing carrots, or peas. They won't exactly overwinter but you should still get a crop off them. Possibly beetroot - all these like deep rootruns which you get with flower buckets. They're probably unnecessarily deep for salad leaves.

Spring cabbage do surprisingly well in them! One to a bucket and kept in the greenhouse should guarantee an early clean crop!

Chard does great in Morrisons flower buckets, as do spring onions and you can probably sow well into August.
