Are they too small?

I have just lifted a few shallots
quite a few are marble size and smaller can these be stored and used next year or are they to small to do anything with them

Is there no way that Growing Techniques section can be locked Sarz? Similar to threads being locked? I'm sure the techies at GYO could do it!
Us oldies know the score but you can't blame newbies for posting there!
