  • What's eating my broad beans?

I planted some aquadulce claudia beans in October and they've come up quite nicely. I went down the allotment after a gap of about 10 days and something has started to eat them. It’s not fleeing beetle as I can recognise the damage caused by them. The marks are bigger and start from the outside of the leaves. I searched and searched but could not find the culprit. Any ideas how I can stop it happening any more? I would cover with fleece but need to make sure I don't trap whatever is damaging them under it.
