I can't wait for mine...I have them lined up already for both Chocolate Beetroot Cake and Roast Beetroot, Shallots and Goats Cheese.....mmmmmm........

Ralf I just used White Wine vinger. I am new to all of this but I am definitely getting into it.

CV Chocolate beetroot cake sounds pukka, have you got a recipie please?

As you say cannot wait for the shallots, I think mine are almost ready need to take some pics and ask the vines what they think.

Don't do what I did (with bought beetroot sadly, beetroot is one of the veg that just does not work for me!)

Used rasberry vinegar - I thought that would be cool! Other half won't eat them - buys cheap Tesco pickled beet instead... So - if it is for a traditionalist, don't use rasberry!!!
