epicure potato problem

hey
i am growing epicures in potato bags,this is my first time growing potatos and i have not got much rom hence the bags. i have just noticed that some of the leaves are turning brown has anyone got any theories were i might be going wrong

The leaves turn browny-yellowy when the spuds are nearly ready to harvest

Epicure are described as a very early so could well be ready in 10 weeks from planting, even in the colder northern climes.

Otherwise wind damage? Rain damage? Disease?

i was looking through an old book of mine and the nearest disease i can get to it is early blight, the potatoes have not flowered yet but the buds are there. i have taken the worst leaves off but some of the remaining ones are doing the same they are turning a patchy light colour then brown.
any suggestions? or could it be because they are in bags and maybe a little crowded?

It'll most likely be rain, cold, sun and wind damage.... could be insects... but it is probably (almost definitely) not something to worry about.

When did you plant them Nomad? As Two_Sheds says, they could just be ready to harvest.

harvested my epicures today....they are in bags also due to lack of space....and was quite disappointed to be honest! Got some and having for tea...but not what I'd hoped for Hope yours are more successful Nomad Would be interested to see how many you got!
