Droopy Tomato Leaves

I looked at the tomato plant tonight and the leaves looked a bit droopy....is this normal??

Could they have felt the cold a bit in the last few nights? Just a thought. They'll pick up when the weather warms if that's the case.
Another thought - have they been in the pot more than 6 weeks? If so the nutrients will be exhausted. Re-pot or feed them a bit. I'm sure they'll live though!

yeah it could be the cold.....should i bring it inside tonight??

i re-potted over the weekend into a bigger pot and gave it a tomato feed.

If it's feeling the cold it might appreciate coming indoors till the balmy nights return (if they ever do!)

Good news! Keep up the TLC - but not too much. There's a difference between caring and spoiling, between toughening up and neglect. It's like child rearing isn't it - you need a balance!

i've got 2 growing in the same 2" peat pot.. should i try and separate them into bigger pots or should i leave them a bit longer? they're only about 2 inches tall

I would separate them ASAP before the root ball becomes too tight and you won't be able to separate them. Keep them on the dry side and give them warmth and lots of light and you might just get them to grow in time for this season

do i need to keep them inside then? or will they be big enough to go outside at some point? also can i put them straight into morrisons bucket type pots?

Some of mine have been outside for a couple of weeks. However, they were well hardened off first - outside all day for a couple of weeks, then out in a sheltered position day and night - just brought into the greenhosue if really vicious weather is forecast.

Funny you should say that Flummery, mine were doing really well outside after all the good advice from you grapes, but this evening there has been thunder, lightning, rain has been lashing down alternating with hail so they've taken a real battering. Here's hoping they don't sulk too much at the neglect.
