First time cucumber grower!

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, did search but not much luck.

I am growing Telegraph and the plant is doing well but I'm not really sure how to look after it. It is in a growbag and about 18" tall now. It appears to have some flower buds but I'm not sure whether to leave all the flowers on the plant or remove any.

I don't grow Telegraph but I assume all cucs are similar. I give mine some canes/wires to grow up. Leave all the flowers on but do feed it (I use tomato food) at least once, maybe twice, a week. They really are easy and as long as you keep them moist then you should get loads of crunchy cucs.

hi there, if you look at the base of your flowers you'll see a swelling, those are the female flowers which will produce your cucumbers, the male flowers have no swellings just a long stem, take the male flowers off as soon as you can, if they fertilize the female flowers you'll get very bitter cucumbers with lots of hard seeds in them... hope this helps good luck and enjoy.

Whoops. Thanks Ginger for correcting me. I had forgotten that some cucs produce like that. Must go back to the text books, mine are Crystal Lemon and are not so crass as to produce male flowers.
