I worked out I could squeeze in another raised but the timber merchant delivered the wrong depth of rails. He's a lovely chap and cut me the right stuff and just told me to keep the other timber.
So, I now have to find space for another extra raised bed It will be 6ft x 4ft when built but only 8 inches deep. The only thing that I can think of to grow in it would be salad crops. Can you suggest anything else that doesn't need a lot of depth?

Parmex carrots, Kohlrabi, turnips....? You could have a year's worth of landcress, lettuce, mizuna and other leaf crops out of that size of bed no problem, you are spoiled for choice really. Now if you could just grow some dog food you would really have it sussed...!

Forgot about Parmex Carrots, I also quite fancy growing some of that lovely Yugoslavian Red lettuce.
