Well done Two_Sheds. Our crimson flowered ones are about 2 feet tall now (how big do they get please?) and I am hoping they will flower soon. My worries about them crossing are not going to be a concern as my dwarf ones have just appeared through the soil

I've got flowers on the first wave and the second lot, sown direct at the same time the first lot were planted out, are catching up in height quite quickly.

Wow didn't realise it was quite so early! I had broadies from the garden for tea on Sunday, quite small, a blokes thumbnail size, but very very sweet and tasty!
Aguadulce Claudia's planted in October, didn't spend any of their time indoors or under cover, just sat through the snow in a half barrel.
Think it might be that couple extra degrees we get in London.

Well done, Jimbo - I can't wait for mine, which have plenty of flowers, but no beans yet. The crimson flowered ons in the pot here at home are about a foot tall with the promise of flowers to come.

From memory, Shirley, I think the crimson ones grew to about 2 and a half foot last year - no taller than 3' anyway.

I've eaten a few of mine as whole pods with some pasta and pesto, about little finger sized and enough for two of us. None big enough for podding yet, though. They were autumn-sown Aquadulce like yours Jimbo. The spring sown plants are nearly as tall, with beans a few inches long. I pinch a few and eat them direct from the plants when I'm out there. Perhaps I should leave a few to get big enough to pod

I'm just chuffed mine are growing from seed saved last year.

Mine are all flowering from a Feb sowing in root trainers. Crimson flowered ones in the front garden, Red Epicure in the back and Express and Emperial Green Longpod at the plot. No photos of the Red Epicure ones but the others all look good and hopefully will soon be forming nice fat pods. Both photos were taken about 10 days ago when they were first starting to flower.

First noticed tiny bean pods on mine last week. They were sown end October & have braved the elements ever since.
