  • Seed Catalogues, or lack of

All the seed catalogues are out now aren't they? Its just that the bigger companies (T&M, Suttons etc) seem reluctant to send me one. I've applied on the internet twice for each, over a period of 4 weeks but nothing.

The smaller companies (Wallis Seeds, Real Seeds etc) have sent me catalogues within a couple of days so this is who I will spend my money with. Pretty poor show I think for larger companies.

My T&M catalogue took about 4 weeks to get to me. I think you can access their catalogue online though and the same goes for Suttons. Otherwise Wyevale tend to stock a lot of T&M seeds if you have only close by.

Bex, have a look at these in the meantime (the Suffolk Herbs one is actually Kings Seeds)

I haven't had a T&M one but have accessed their catalogue online very successfully. Mind you with what I had left over, what I've saved and what I've received today there is very little I need. Still I can mull over catalogues anyway, thinking about all I could do if I had the time/money/space. It keeps me out of mischief.

I've looked at most of them quickly online, thing is my computer isn't that comfortable to sit at for hours (and it does take me hours to decide). I just wanted, now the nights are drawing in, to curl up on the sofa with my catalogues and a cup of hot chocolate. Think I'm just too impatient with excitement.

I would love to too but I'd be constantly interrupted by questions about the current favourite episode of Thunderbirds, moving the hot chocolate so it doesn't spill on me or the furniture and the sofa isn't that comfortable for curling up. Never mind. You enjoy it when you get some to look at. Have you tried Tamar (no pics though) and Real Seeds (again no pics).

Got Real Seeds, Earthbabe, I think thats where most of my money will be going to be honest. Its the big companies, they don't seem so hot on customer service.

Some of the big companies don't do custmer service at all until you loose them a lot of money and then they will be all over you.

All you would have to do is create a website selling seeds and you will get several emails from them or as like me you might even get their directing manager. Who knows?

Tuckers dropped through the letterbox this morning. My organic seed catalogue order was awaiting me. Yesterday DT Brown's seed order came.

Only ordered a Kings on on Monday and it arrived yesterday - no sign of the Tuckers one though yet.

Funily enough Tuckers catalogue was waiting for me at home when I got in last night.

I'll have to give kings ago then. I quite enjoy flicking through a paper catalogue if find it more interesting than online shopping.

You should all note that due to the new regulations on postage now, many companies have increased their own postage. Think T&M has gone up a bit, i'm off to my local wyvale later to see if i can get the ones i want from the shop instead.
