Horseradish

well. i bought a lovely horseradish plant last week. planted it on the lottie and within two days it was decimated by my local snail/slug population! in a vain effort to save it i have placed bran all around it and put a plastic water bottle with bottom cut off over it. seems the snails ate the bran and the rest of the plant. bought horseradish for sunday roast then!...

Hard luck Maxi, never had any problems with slugs and horseradish. I have several clumps and they are all healthy. It always amazes me that slugs and snails seem to love stuff that we can only manage in small doses i.e horseradish and chillies.

I've always had problems with horseradish..but i think it's because I planted it too near the compost...and the slugs headed straight for it!!!!

....fingers crossed yours will be fine now!
