Webpage for plant growing times?

Is there anything online which tells you roughly how long it takes for something to grow? I know on the back of a packet it has planting and harvesting times but it doesn't say "this plant will grow in about 3 months" or something like that.

Any ideas? Was wondering whether if I take it from the first sowing month to the first harvesting month that would give me the time lapse I'm looking for?

Yes That's how I work it out. I have a rough guide in one of my veg growing books, but really it depends on the variety (a 'mini' cabbage will grow quicker than a savoy for instance) so the seed packet is the best source of info.

Scheduling Vegetable Plantings for Continuous Harvest

You see- if you plant indoors - or outdoors - or in the late spring/early summer, the germination times will alter due to the temperature difference.
Also- outdoor growing times will be affected by temperatures /soil quality /aspect and variety of the veg ( my 18day radish aren't ready yet one month later- if you see what I mean???)

I hope that American chart is a rough guide though!

Thank you. It's just to get a rough idea of what veg take longer than the other so if I want to plant slower growing ones between the faster growing ones in the raised bed I can

Yes, go by the seed packet.
Or, Dr Hessayon's Vegetable Expert gives you approx growing times too.

There's a chart here which should match the back of seed packets but since this is all together it will save you looking through lots of seed packets!!
