peas and pinching out the main stem

    Thanks for that.....so I only need to pinch out the very top? my peas are only 4" tall at the mo, I would like them to bush out, but will this stop them from growing taller?

              I never pinch out foody peas. And always pinch out the growing tip of flowery sweet peas. Never had a problem yet. apart from the inevitable seed failure now and then.

                  Aha - I did not know about flowery peas so have just rushed outside now and pinched out tops of sweet peas! My first year of growing them.
