A list from Stephen and location would be great. I do occasionally get about the country and may be able to get him some plants as well.

Thanks for the replies everyone and sorry for not being able to respond before, I've been stuck in an endless all day meeting. Fresh air is much needed!

Gojiberry, he's in Lancashire, here's the original thread

It really does need to be plants rather than seeds, I'm afraid, as he needs to spend time clearing the plot, so it won't be ready for anything to go in the ground, either seeds or plants, for a while yet. I should have made this clear before, sorry. Also he'd need you to hang on to them for a few weeks yet, to give him time to clear the plot. He has absolutely nothing, so the list is basically anything people can spare!

Thanks for the tip about water bottles, Wayne, sounds like a good one. I managed to send some last year by putting the root ball in a plastic bag, wrappint the plants tightly in soaked newspaper, and putting the whole lot down the inner of a toilet roll, so same principle I suppose.

      Okay then, list so far:

      Hashette - various tomatoes
      Freebs - strawberries
Gojiberry - not sure yet but may be able to deliver some rather than post

I've sent cutting and plants out using the plastic boxes from takeaways. They are very light and reasonably sturdy. Also I was looking at our dishwasher tablets. There was a deal on so we've got posh ones in rectangular containers that would take plugs, and they've got lids. I could get about 5 celeriac plants in one of those if Stephen would be interested. They won't be able to go out for a few weeks anyway yet. I won't have many spare because I'm growing for the whole of our gardening club!
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
