    So we're fashionable now eh?

BBC NEWS | Science & Environment | Trust frees land for allotments

cripes the likes of our own gurus flum, piglet, snadger, two sheds will be on the red carpet soon.....(or at least a mulch of chipped bark underlined with newspaper!)

    It's all quite amazing really.

National Trust 50 acres for allotments in UK

Saw an article in today's Daily Mail about Hugh Fearnley Wittingstall and the National Trust getting together to offer allotments to individual growers and community groups, schools etc. The NT are putting aside 50 acres around the country to be split up and offered to everyone not just NT members.

As this is so new the website is only able to take some basic registration details. Your first name, email address and postcode. If you're interested it's at landshare dot net.

HFW is also talking to the church of england to see if they will also set aside some of the extensive church lands for the same purpose. The more that register and interest the more clout he and the others who support this initiative will have.
